Evolutio is a Latin term, in which the word evolution was derived. This painting depicts a rural farmer from the 1940s, who has been given little opportunity in his life. Because of that, he turned to guitar as his outlet. Over time, he became a master of his craft, and decided that he was going to dedicate himself to his music, requiring him to master himself from within first. This painting is a representation of the evolution of ourselves, when we decide to leave an old version of ourselves in the past, that no longer serve us, and evolve into the person that we want to be. The best version of ourselves. Once we make that choice, such as this man, the sky is the limit. Much like the bird above him, his dreams are about to take flight
