Born August 10, 1991, based in Los Angeles, CA, self-taught contemporary artist Huston West is best known for his unique style creating a vintage feel at the heart of each piece while bringing them to life with the colors and techniques that are incorporated. Since 2022, Huston has been using photography as the base for each project, switching between his own photography and manipulated photos of your favorite pop icons. Distressing the images gives his works a soulful feel, while bringing them to life with paint. Drawing inspiration from various forms of art, Huston creates his own style combining elements of street, pop and expressionism. There is a certain allure to the rebellious nature combined with the finer details of his works.
